I decided to come out of retirement and once again take on the role as team mom but "oh my" how things have changed! Back in the day all you needed to do was organize a snack schedule, plan a team party for the end of the season and collect a couple of dollars from each parent so that you could present the coach with a cheesy gift that he may or may not keep.
Now a day you are giving advice to parents who are struggling with the coaches and they want advice on how they should handle it. You have parents upset because of the lack of play time their child is getting and they want you to hear them out because the coach won't listen. You have parents in the midst of a
custody battle and you have to be careful how much info. you give to the ex. Shoot me now and its only the begining of the season! Ugh!!!
OH MY GOD!!!!! Resign NOW!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds emotionally draining! What happened to rootin' your kid on and patting the other children on the back with a "good job"?
Keep these people whipped into shape Amie!!! Tell them to chill out and remember what they all are there for! And if they don't take your advice....give em the finger!
p.s......I do hope you and Jax have a great time! You are a good mommy!!!
ReplyDeleteP.S.S. know any Spanish yet????
