It had been awhile since we had gathered the women troops for a girls night out and on this particular night it turned into a bidding war for the affections of E's single boss. Let's just say it was mass chaos for awhile. E, Cindy and myself are married while the rest of the gang are single. The group is comprised of women who have never been married, recently single and those who have been single for a long time. All come from different backgrounds and have different taste in men but on this particular night it was all about one single guy whom they had never met. It was like a feeding frenzy. I was a little worried that they would all end up as enemies by the end of the night but it was all in good fun and everyone had a good laugh and parted as friends.
After 24 years of marriage, there are times that I grow pretty complacent in my relationship but when I see my single girlfriends and what they have to go through just to try and get a date......I am reminded how wonderful I really have it and to those women who think that the grass is always greener on the other side...its not! It's where you water it. Now, I am not an advocate for staying in an unhealthy marriage or relationship that is doomed for disaster but if your relationship is a little rusty and needs to be oiled there is no need for a new mechanic just ask your current mechanic how he can help!
