Update on the Gardners.........
Jordan received word early this week that training begins Novemeber 23rd.. I thought we would at least have her through the holidays but destiny thought otherwise. We have a lot to get done in a very short time! She has been extremely stressed waiting to hear back for when she would be leaving and now that she has a date the nerves have set in. The worst part about it is the PACKING! She is only allowed 20 kilos which equates into 44 lbs. and thats not a whole lot when you have a shoe and clothes fettish like she has....... plus she will be gone for 11 months. Seems like an impossible task to me but what a learning experience for her! Josh is waiting with bated breath to be able to move into her room but I think he will have some painting to do. I don't think he wants a purple room!
Josh is doing very well. He is doing 30 minutes of therapy twice a week. He was repremanded for not walking correctly. He has a bad habit of swinging his leg out when he walks so he is learning how to walk correctly all over again. His attitude has improved immensely! Lacrosse starts Feb. 22nd. so that gives him an incentive to work even harder. In the mean time he is busy with the Speech and Debate team.
Jaxson has been my point of stress these past couple of weeks! He came home two weeks ago and told me he wanted to be home schooled again. Without giving us much information as to why he wanted to do this, it has been a stressful time poking and prodding he and his teacher for information. At first we thought it was because he was struggling in math and then it was because he didn't like his teacher so until we could get a definitive answer from him we continued to make him go to school. Everything seemed to be ok until this past Tuesday when the school called and said he was sick. When I got him home he was fine a couple of hours later so Wednesday I spent the morning schooling him. School was out Thursday and Friday of this week due to conferences so that made it easy to keep him home for one day. Our conference was yesterday and after speaking with his teacher we have deduced it down to certain girls and boys that he socailizes with and the peer pressure that comes with it. We spoke in depth with Mrs. Bouton about it and at the end of the conference she simply said, " I will support you in whatever decision you make for Jaxson." I was quite relieved to hear her say that because I really love her and as the norm goes most public school teachers do not approve of home schooling but we also have to do whats best for our son! We told him if he chooses home schooling he will be schooled thru junior high at least. He has until Sunday to make his decision!
Dang Amie!!!!! What an emotional roller coaster!!!! Today is Sunday....I'm wondering what Jax's decision is. I'm glad that his teacher is giving support.
ReplyDeleteJosh is such a survivor!!!! He is such a cool kid!
I feel for you and your baby flying off for almost a year!!!! It will be hard. I feel for Jordan only being able to take minimal amounts of luggage!!! That is just wrong!
I'm thinking of you all
xoxo
P.S. thanks for updating :)
